peachy for a 2002
i like fords rusty.not good plenty mpg.ford makes many skilful cars and trucks.this car does not give you much bang for the buck rocker panels always rust out offset.not the all-time mpg either.enough of room on the inside.nether carriage rusted so the factory undercoating does not stand up up to wisconsin winters very well, non many cars do.not easy changing plugs and wires.over all i gauge information technology is time to recall of buying a toyota or mazda they are cheaper ameliorate miles per gallon and after so long they all are throw abroad cars.if you buy your car at a dealer used information technology is hit or miss and but has fees that are meaning less.if you buy used you get what you lot pay for someone elses caput ache.

Poor gas mileage

This is a nicely styled automobile, comfy to ride and roomy. Information technology has had only one mechanical trouble which was the demand to repalce the emision control unit. All the same, I discover it is a very heavy car and thus has poor gas mileage which is why I could neve recommend information technology during times when gasoline costs are but going to get worse. I bought this car in 2003.

My Taurus Was Well Loved

My 02 Ford Taurus was a keen automobile. I bought it my 1st year of college. She had a few minor problems but no major problems that kept me off the road. It kept me riding for 5 years with well over 120k miles until she was towed due to the fault of an unyielding youngster. If information technology weren't for him, I would still be driving that car today.

A dandy machine for the money

My wife and I puchased our Taurus with approximately 21K miles, and have since put on nigh 40K more. Thar machine has been peachy, especially considering the price we paid for it. We have driven cross country three times, and plant it to be very capable. The seats are business firm and supportive, and at that place is an astonishing amount of interior room (I am 6'7" and fit comfortably.) The ride is soft, and road dissonance is not pronounced. The torso is a cavern, and we have had no major mechanical bug. Here are the downsides: the Vulcan engine could apply more horsepower, and the hard plastic on the nuance looks rather inexpensive, although everything is well-placed. The Taurus has rear pulsate brakes, then operation is not the all-time. Too, the stock Continental tires are the worst I take ever owned. If you buy a Taurus, replace them every bit soon as possible (2 recommended models are the Yokohama Avid Touring and Fuzion HRi.) Overall, this is a great car at a great cost. After all, where else can you buy a dependable nigh new vehicle for that price?

Machine had some torso impairment. Lite rust on outside, started and drove nicely. Priced well for mileage and harm. Automatic transmission shifted smoothly and had no issues.

Really like this car. Nice interior, decent engine and surprisingly skillful gas mileage for a car this size. 145000 miles and still running strong.

Best Car I could have bought for the cost range.

I'1000 the type of automobile commuter that will usually take a car for an extended period of time and drive it into the ground. My last automobile got to around quarter million miles. Bought 2002 Taurus about 5 months ago, with about 100k on information technology and it is working very well. I stress if you programme on getting 200k plus on any machine to go along up with your: lube oil filter (always synthenic), coolant flushes (every 100k or 5 years), tranny flushes (every 40k or two years). I have only put most six,000 miles on it then far, but look forward to hundreds of thousands of more miles to come. Only things I would add to the Taurus would exist heated leather seats. Drives out very dainty and smooth, if you fix prowl at 55mph to 65mph y'all should be able to get around 30mpg's. Mine has a couple hints of rust spots, so if you live where there is snow, keep it washed. It was also never kept in a garage until now, so not uncommon for a couple pocket-sized rust spots. Overall good solid unit of measurement.
